MacBook will not start unless plugged in

IF I don't use my MacBook (2015) for a week, it will not start unless I plug it in. When it starts after plugging it in and I shut it down, it will then start without plugging it in. If I then don't use it for a few days, it will again not start without being plugged in, even when fully charged. Is there a setting that I need to change?
